Job Description:
This position is for an entry level Precision Measurement Specialist. This job performs the following functions:
Performs analyses and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property.
Performs a variety of qualitative tests or qualitative assays on samples, and to aid in maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatus to ensure compliance.
Perform precision measurement on large aerospace structures primarily using a laser tracker, but periodically using other inspection equipment including, but not limited to, single arm CMMs (FARO Arms), Photogrammetry, and standard equipment, such as height gages, calipers, micrometers, and comparators.
Perform visual and dimensional verification of tooling and ground support equipment.
Perform tooling inspection at various suppliers.
Perform review of tooling designs for compliance to company and industry design specifications.
Documenting and reporting results of inspection and verification functions.
Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports.
Reviews production records for conformance to procedures.
Conducts non-conformance tests of manufactured, packaged or tested product.
May calibrate electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.
Performs a variety of tasks that include tool design review and approval, tool inspection, inspection and control of media of acceptance tooling, and production dimensional inspection of large structural flight hardware.
Basic Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) certificate
2 years of directly related experience; or, technical training in Machine Tool, Machine Shop, Mechanic Technology, Quality Assurance, or other trade based technical field of study
Experience with reading Blue Print drawings
General knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Strong math skills in Algebra and Trigonometry
Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
Must be willing and able to work on 2nd shift
Preferred
Qualifications:
2 year degree in Machine Tool, Machine Shop, Mechanical Technology, Quality Assurance or trade based technical field of study
Experience with laser tracker inspection equipment
Documented completion of an apprenticeship as a Machinist or in CNC Machine Programming
Documented completion of a training program in CMM Operation or Programming
Experience as a machinist using programmable machine tools
Experience as a CMM inspector or programmer
Documented training in Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing with emphasis on ANSI Y14.5
Unigraphics training or experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
